Companions

Companions are allies that can join the player's party.

The Lost Soul is a ghost knight that can be found in the region who will join your party for the cost of two souls. This hero has a sense of honor and worked for the King in life. Its early designs played with having him in a more active stance, but the sitting knight was such an iconic fantasy image, I thought with the right color scheme it could fit our darker aesthetic.

Kalevala is a mercenary who can join your party after being paid off with coins. The initial concept was to have her fight you if you couldn't pay, but we thought that might be frustrating for the player.

Tynsy is a familiar who will lend its power to a sorcerer willing to expend souls to fuel it. The initial design was supposed to be more original but had too much of a 'whimsical fairy' aesthetic. I changed it to keep with the darker theme of the game.
